Terms And Conditions

Legal Disclaimer 

1. Services

Sinan Renovation provides residential and commercial renovation services, which may include painting, demolition, flooring installation, drywall repair, tiling, carpentry, trim work, surface preparation, caulking, cleanup, and related renovation work as outlined in the estimate, invoice, quote, work order, or service agreement.

The exact scope of each project will be confirmed in writing and may include:

  • areas to be renovated or serviced,

  • preparation work included,

  • materials and products to be used,

  • project phases or stages,

  • exclusions,

  • pricing,

  • estimated timelines and scheduling.

2. Quotes and Estimates

All quotes and estimates are prepared based on the information available at the time of inspection, consultation, or discussion.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • quotes remain valid for 15 days from the issue date,

  • pricing applies only to the described scope of work,

  • hidden conditions, structural issues, or additional requests may result in extra charges.

Verbal estimates are non-binding unless confirmed in writing by Sinan Renovation.

3. Changes to Scope and Additional Work

Any work outside the originally approved scope will be considered additional work and may lead to extra charges or scheduling changes.

Examples of additional work may include:

  • extra rooms, surfaces, or fixtures,

  • major drywall or structural repairs,

  • water, mold, smoke, or pest damage,

  • removal of flooring, wallpaper, adhesives, or old materials,

  • changes to materials, finishes, colours, layouts, or designs,

  • excessive furniture or item relocation,

  • corrections required due to inaccurate site information.

Changes may be documented through written change orders, invoices, emails, text confirmations, or other written approvals.

4. Deposits and Payment Terms

A deposit may be required depending on the size and nature of the project.

Unless otherwise stated in writing:

  • progress payments may apply for larger or multi-phase projects,

  • final payment is due upon substantial completion or within 3 days of the invoice date,

  • overdue balances may incur interest at a rate of 4% per month or the maximum amount permitted by law.

Sinan Renovation reserves the right to pause work or delay scheduling if payments are overdue.

5. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept payment by:

  • e-transfer,

  • cheque,

  • bank transfer,

  • cash,

  • credit card,

  • Stripe,

  • Square,

  • PayPal invoice.

Third-party payment processors may apply their own fees or terms where disclosed in advance.

6. Scheduling and Delays

Any proposed start date or completion timeline is an estimate only and may change due to:

  • weather conditions,

  • material shortages,

  • labour availability,

  • site access limitations,

  • project modifications,

  • safety concerns,

  • unforeseen conditions,

  • events outside our reasonable control.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate delays promptly.

7. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • provide safe and reasonable access to the property,

  • ensure utilities such as electricity and water are available if required,

  • remove or protect valuable or fragile items,

  • keep children and pets away from active work areas,

  • disclose known hazards including asbestos, mold, lead paint, leaks, or unsafe conditions,

  • ensure the site is ready at the scheduled time,

  • review and approve all colours, finishes, and selections before installation or application.

Unless otherwise agreed, the Client remains responsible for securing valuables, electronics, artwork, and breakable items.

8. Material and Finish Selection

The Client is responsible for final approval of materials, colours, finishes, fixtures, and product selections.

Sinan Renovation is not responsible for dissatisfaction resulting from:

  • approved colour or material choices,

  • differences between samples, photos, digital previews, and final appearance,

  • lighting variations,

  • manufacturer batch differences.

Additional charges may apply if selections are changed after materials are ordered or work has started.

9. Existing Conditions and Surface Preparation

We will complete reasonable preparation work included in the written scope.

Unless specifically included, services do not cover:

  • structural engineering,

  • hazardous material removal,

  • mold remediation,

  • major reconstruction,

  • specialty restoration.

We do not guarantee perfectly uniform finishes on surfaces that are damaged, aged, uneven, improperly prepared, or otherwise unsuitable.

10. Access and Work Areas

Work areas may become temporarily inaccessible during the project.

For safety and quality purposes, access to active work zones may be restricted until work is completed or surfaces are safe.

11. Client-Supplied Materials

If the Client provides materials or products:

  • Sinan Renovation is not responsible for product quality, coverage, durability, or manufacturer defects,

  • additional labour or material charges may apply if supplied products are unsuitable,

  • no warranty is provided for failures related to Client-supplied materials.

12. Permits and Compliance

Unless specifically agreed in writing, Sinan Renovation is not responsible for obtaining permits, engineering approvals, inspections, or regulatory authorizations.

The Client is responsible for informing us of building regulations, condominium rules, or property access requirements.

13. Cleanup

Reasonable cleanup will be completed at the end of the project, including removal of standard tools, coverings, and work debris.

Unless included in writing, services do not include:

  • deep cleaning,

  • hazardous waste disposal,

  • duct cleaning,

  • removal of pre-existing debris.

14. Inspection and Acceptance

The Client agrees to inspect the completed work promptly.

Unless written notice of deficiencies is provided within 3 business days, the work will be considered accepted, except for defects that were not reasonably visible during inspection.

Minor touch-ups do not delay payment obligations.

15. Warranty

Sinan Renovation provides a limited workmanship warranty of 2 years from the date of substantial completion for defects directly caused by our workmanship under normal conditions.

This warranty does not cover:

  • normal wear and tear,

  • water intrusion or moisture damage,

  • structural movement,

  • mold or mildew,

  • improper ventilation,

  • abuse, impacts, chemicals, or misuse,

  • damage caused by third parties,

  • pre-existing conditions,

  • manufacturer defects,

  • Client-supplied materials.

Our responsibility under this warranty is limited to reasonable repair of affected areas. Refunds are not guaranteed unless required by law.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sinan Renovation will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, income, profits, business opportunities, or delays.

Total liability relating to any claim will not exceed the amount paid by the Client for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where prohibited by law.

17. Client Cancellation

If the Client cancels the project after approval or after materials have been purchased, the Client may be responsible for:

  • materials already ordered,

  • labour already completed,

  • scheduling losses or reasonable restocking fees.

Any mandatory cancellation rights provided under Ontario consumer protection laws will continue to apply where applicable.

18. Suspension or Termination by Sinan Renovation

We may suspend or terminate services if:

  • payments are not made on time,

  • the worksite becomes unsafe,

  • interference prevents proper work completion,

  • access or required information is not provided,

  • abusive or threatening behaviour occurs,

  • site conditions differ significantly from the original quoted scope.

The Client remains responsible for payment for completed work, purchased materials, and reasonable project shutdown costs.

19. Photos and Marketing

Unless the Client objects in writing before work begins, Sinan Renovation may take before-and-after photos for quality control and marketing purposes, provided no sensitive or identifying personal information is disclosed without permission.

20. Electronic Communications

By contacting us or providing your contact information, you consent to receive communications related to quotes, scheduling, invoices, receipts, updates, and customer service.

Any promotional communications will comply with applicable laws.

21. Website Use

Users of our website agree not to:

  • misuse the website,

  • attempt unauthorized access,

  • upload malicious code,

  • reproduce or copy our content, branding, or images without permission.

All website content remains the property of Sinan Renovation unless otherwise stated.

22. Privacy

Any personal information collected by Sinan Renovation will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada.

24. Dispute Resolution

Before beginning legal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution of disputes through informal discussions.

If unresolved, either party may pursue remedies available under applicable law.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

26. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any estimate, invoice, proposal, scope of work, or approved change order, form the complete agreement between the parties unless otherwise agreed in writing.
